I always had question about my blog on wordpress and how effectively I was using it. Further more, I have never had a chance to get back to it because of time constraints (BTW, I work with a big offshore team team in India and late night conference calls are a big part of it) and also not knowing what exactly one would like to talk about on his/her blog.
My focus has now moved to Agile (since I am working on a project and implementing Scrum) and I would be using this blog to talk about my experiences, pains and gains of working on a Agile project of this nature. This is my first experience working on an Agile project of this size. A team of 200+ over a period of 1.5 years.
Its time I am getting back to the books to make sure that I leverage the experience, recommendations the likes of Mike Cohns, Jeff Sutherlands, Larmans and many more have to make on such projects. I am reading "Practices for Scaling Lean and Agile Development" by Larman and have been impressed flipping over the first few pages of the book. Interestingly the book starts with testing as the area which is quite surprising. However I am impressed with the thought process (not sure how many testers will agree) and it makes a whole lot of sense to me.
So, will write again about my experience and I am sure the future Mike Cohns, Jeff Sutherlands, Larmans will visit my blog and share their views/comments/feedback on the same.
Till next time, cya.....
